Several Trichoderma spp. are effective biocontrol agents against numerous pathogens. By cytological approaches we investigated both direct mechanisms and plant-mediated reactions of the tripartite interaction between Trichoderma harzianum T39, Vitis vinifera and Plasmopara viticola. We dissected T39 biocontrol activity analyzing accumulation of reactive oxygen species and fortification of cell walls in grapevine and measuring the P. viticola sporangia vitality, in order to identify essential biocontrol mechanisms and to further enhance them.

Abstract
Several Trichoderma spp. are effective biocontrol agents against numerous pathogens. By cytological approaches we investigated both direct mechanisms and plant-mediated reactions of the tripartite interaction between Trichoderma harzianum T39, Vitis vinifera and Plasmopara viticola. We dissected T39 biocontrol activity analyzing accumulation of reactive oxygen species and fortification of cell walls in grapevine and measuring the P. viticola sporangia vitality, in order to identify essential biocontrol mechanisms and to further enhance them.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
