We report on the collaboration with Cavit, a cooperative group of 11 Cellars of trentino, relative to production of vine and wine Marzemino. This black grape is grown in Trentino (around 300 hectares) and in neighbouring regions such as Lombardy and Veneto (roughly 20 hectares). We present the most significant results from the experimental comparison of l0 clones in 4 years (from 2011 to 2014) carried out in an vineyard (called "maso Romani") to VolanoTrento. The vines were planted on S.O.4 in the year 2008 and successively pruned to Guyot. The clones show to differ significantly for both production traits (yield, fertility, vigour, weight of the bunch and the berry) and oenological characteristics (especially the contents of promptly assimilable nitrogen and of anthocyanins and of polyphenols of grape). The behaviour of the new four ISMA@-Cavit clones, selected thanks to this collaboration, showed interesting agronomic and oenological characteristics. These results were confirmed by the tasting of the wines, very appreciated and that well represent Marzemino
