Geoxe is a new fungicide based on fludioxonil, recently registered in Italy for use on apple, pear and grape. Thanks to the characteristics and effectiveness of fludioxonil on many pathogenic fungi, Geoxe controls effectively Stemphylium, Alternaria and a wide spectrum of post harvest diseases in apple and pear, and botrytis in grape. In this article are reported and analyzed the results of several trials carried out, in order to verify the effectiveness of Geoxe, particularly in its use on apple and grape. Are also presented data related to residues of the active substance on the fruits. Trials conducted have verified the high efficiency and good residual profile of Geoxe. These favorable aspects, joined the eco-toxicological profile, confirm that it is an interesting new tool for modern programs of integrated pest management.
