There is a wealth of high-throughput transcriptomics experiments freely available from public databases, but the totality of these data is rarely used to its full potential because of the heterogeneity between different experimental platforms. We have developed a framework for integrating these data into a single unified data set for a given species (COLOMBOS 1 technology), and have used it to build a gene expression compendium or ’gene atlas’ for Vitis vinifera.

Abstract
