The project named “Bimvitibacca” was started in 2009 with the aim to introduce in the “Valle del Chiese” (South Western of Trentino Region) new grapevine varieties for the production of high quality wines. Five white varieties from “Malvasia di Candia x Moscato Ottonel” cross and six black varieties from “Teroldego x Lagrein” cross were planted in two vineyards located at different altitude (Condino, 470 m a.s.l. and Praso, 710 m a.s.l.). Yield and quality analyses revealed in both vineyards good adaptability to this environment for the white varieties in particular. Black varieties showed a quite difficulty to reach an optimal ripening in the higher vineyard, while in Condino vineyard a couple of black varieties obtained interesting quality features
