The package carries out hourly interpolation of daily minimum and maximum temperature series. It carries out interpolation on multiple series ad once. It requires some hourly series for calibration (alternatively it can use default calibration table). The interpolation makes use of linear, parabolic and sinusoidal functions between daily maximum and minimum temperatures. The errors in the reconstructed hourly series are very small, on average close to zero. Daily minimum and maximum values are preserved in the hourly series generated. The generation of hourly series allows a good correction of the error made in mean temperature estimation, when it is calculated by the simple arithmetic average of daily maximum and minimum (function included).

Abstract
The package carries out hourly interpolation of daily minimum and maximum temperature series. It carries out interpolation on multiple series ad once. It requires some hourly series for calibration (alternatively it can use default calibration table). The interpolation makes use of linear, parabolic and sinusoidal functions between daily maximum and minimum temperatures. The errors in the reconstructed hourly series are very small, on average close to zero. Daily minimum and maximum values are preserved in the hourly series generated. The generation of hourly series allows a good correction of the error made in mean temperature estimation, when it is calculated by the simple arithmetic average of daily maximum and minimum (function included).I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
